There was a lot of controversy regarding bandits at this year’s Boston Marathon. Bandits have a strong history in running, but most people are just now expressing concern over their being in our races. I give my opinion in this episode and it may meet with some disagreement from a lot of people. Or at least a lot of people I have seen commenting around the internet about bandits.
This past Sunday Jamie and I ran the Blue Cross Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. It is probably the most popular run in the Philadelphia area and is the largest 10 miler on the east coast, and probably in the entire country. I talk about the things I like about the run and the thing I hate most about the run.
Also at the Broad Street Run, as you may have seen, was the Batman. He ran down Broad Street looking for bandits and taking selfies along the way. I caught up with Batman after the run and did a quick interview with him. He ends up being pretty candid about his thoughts on bandits in this interview.
Did you run Broad Street? Do you have an opinion about bandits running races? Let me know in the comments or hit me up on Twitter.
